Port-Grimaud, one of the gems of the Bay of Saint-Tropez

A haven of comfort on the Mediterranean shore, our hotel with private beach in the Var also enjoys an unspoilt environment and a remarkable location at the heart of Port-Grimaud. Here, in this most beautiful of lakeside towns, the houses which line the canals have earned it the nickname of “Provence’s little Venice”. Built in the 1960s around a lagoon, the village has a network of narrow, canalside streets which, in fact, serve as quays where residents moor their boats.

A stay at our hotel in Port Grimaud provides an opportunity to stroll among the colourful houses which overhang the canal, use the footbridges from one bank to the other and, perhaps, on August 15, watch the traditional festival of the sea with its procession of boats in the marina. Visitors to Port-Grimaud can also enjoy the magnificent fine sandy beaches or hire a boat to explore the Bay of St-Tropez (from My Alp’azur and Four Five boat hire services).
